Wildflower Walk with Andrew Garn

Join the Photographer and Author of Wildflowers of NYC
Wednesday, October 6th at 4:30PM (ET)

As summer wanes and fall arrives, there is still an abundance of late blooming wildflowers to explore in the Northwest portion of Central Park.  As we walk by the Pool, the Loch and the North Woods, we may see Asters, Snakeroot, Goldenrods, Sneezeweeds, Lobelias, and Joe Pye Weed.  Additionally, there are plentiful birds, plus we can examine numerous summer blooming plants that have gone to seed, providing the essential fuel for these migrating and overwintering avian friends.

This will be a small group of only 10 individuals.  Bring your binoculars, cameras and magnifying lenses. There are some steps and portions of possibly muddy uneven terrain, so please wear appropriate footwear.  The walk begins at the northeast corner of West 100th St and Central Park West.

The registration fee of $100 includes a signed 8x10" color coupler print and a signed copy of Wildflowers of NYC that can be picked up at the Wild Bird Fund, 565 Columbus at your convenience.
